School Cleaner

We are currently seeking a School Cleaner to join our friendly team.

Hours of work & Salary 

  • Term time hours: 6.00am to 12.00am, Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week
  • School holiday hours: 7.00am to 12.00am, Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week
  • 6 weeks paid holiday (1 at Christmas, 1 at Easter, 2 days each half-term, 3 in the summer holidays)
  • £11.44 per hour
  • £16,830 per year, which equates to £1,402.50 per month

We pay monthly on the 27th of each month by BACS transfer. 

Cleaning Areas 

Each cleaner has a designated area to clean on a daily basis during term time. During the school holidays, periods of deep cleaning of different areas are carried out on a basis at the direction of the cleaning supervisor. 

Selection Process 

An application form is required to be filled out in detail, including a minimum of two referees.  

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview. They must bring their passport with them, in order that we can check your right to work in the UK. References for all shortlisted candidates will be checked prior to interview. 

The successful applicant will be required to fill in a DBS form that will be used by us to ensure that they are allowed to work with children. A barred list search will be made. 

Once all clearances have been successfully carried out, the successful applicant can start work.
