OPEN MORNINGS, VISITS & EVENTS

The best way to experience CCCS is to see it for yourself. We would be delighted to show you around our lovely school and introduce you to our staff and pupils.

We hold several Open Mornings each year. All prospective parents and their families are warmly invited. For more details about Open Morning, Stay & Play Events and other events, please scroll down.

If you would like to arrange a private tour (approx 1 hour), which involves meeting the Headmaster, a tour of the school, and experiencing the atmosphere of a normal school day, please email our Registrar, Mrs Lisa Johnson, or call 01865 242561.

PRE-PREP OPEN MORNING

CCCS' Pre-Prep, (Reception, Years 1 and 2) and Nursery welcomes girls and boys, aged 3 - 7. Our Prep-Prep is the central hub of the School. Find out more about our curriculum, sports and extra-curricular activities, by visiting us on Tuesday 26th November, 9.30 am - 11.00 am.

Prospective families are warmly invited for home-made refreshments and a chat with Richard Murray, the Headmaster, Tom Robards, Head of Pre-Prep and other Pre-Prep teachers. Please complete the Pre-Prep Open Morning Registration Form below.

PRE-PREP STAY & PLAY

Stay & Play sessions are for boys and girls who are not yet old enough to attend full-time school. Indoor and outdoor play activities will be available for the children. A Stay & Play group is a great way for you and your child to meet new people and make new friends in a friendly atmosphere.

'BE A CHORISTER FOR AN AFTERNOON' EVENT

For boys in Years 2, 3 & 4, we are pleased to announce our 'Be a Chorister for an Afternoon' will be held on Saturday 11th January 2025, 2.30 - 7.00 pm.

Our choral open afternoon is a fun opportunity to find out more about the Cathedral Choir, learn some new music and for your son to see if he might like to be a chorister.

Choristers rehearse every weekday morning and sing Evensong in the Cathedral six times a week. This busy schedule develops their musical skills and nurtures key skills such as leadership, teamwork and time management. Boys selected for choristerships have 60% of their school fees at CCCS paid by the Cathedral for the duration of their time as a Chorister.
