Form 6 enjoy riverwalk by The Thames

Last Wednesday, Form 6, accompanied by Mrs Fairhurst, Ms Hajar and Miss Browne set off on an exciting walk to the river, as they have been learning about the River Thames in their Geography lessons.
The gang visited two locks on their walk. The first was on the Oxford Canal, where the manmade waterway joins the River Thames. The second stop was at Osney lock, which was converted to a hydroelectric operation in 1970.
The boys had great fun operating the manual lock on the canal, with the help of Mrs Fairhurst's windlass key!
